Nordine accepted the recognition and used her remarks to thank local organizations and programs that she said supported her active outdoor and community life — including the Tamworth Outing Club, conservation groups, the community nurse association, Meals on Wheels, the food pantry, local swim and school programs and libraries. She described the award as a recognition of a community lifestyle rather than an individual honor.
Board members and attendees took photographs and thanked Nordine for her decades of engagement with the town.
