Brookfield accepts donations, approves payment manifests and authorizes equipment sale

The motion to accept the donations was seconded and approved on a voice vote.
The town presented two payment manifests covering operating bills, gravel deliveries, utility charges, school-district assessments and contractor invoices. After discussion and a correction, the board approved a corrected first manifest in the amount of $259,606.34 and a second manifest for $7,064.19 on motions and recorded 'Aye' votes.
On municipal equipment disposal, the board accepted the high bid of $8,500 for a forestry truck package and authorized sale and title transfer procedures. Members discussed preparing a bill of sale and ensuring titles are signed and, where required, notarized for out-of-state transfer.
Next steps: staff will prepare and deliver required bills of sale and title documents to the buyer, reimburse specified small claims (archival folders, transcription reimbursement), and post approved manifest payments.
