The Eagle Pass Planning and Zoning Commission on Oct. 24 voted to grant a conditional-use permit for a car wash at 2421 East Main Street, a 1.496-acre lot recorded as Lot 1 in the Armadillo Subdivision. Community Development staff recommended approval after describing the site as zoned B‑3 and showing it on the city zoning and master-plan maps.
Marty, speaking for the Community Development Department, told commissioners that Cross Development submitted the application; Heather Rimmer is listed as the applicant representative and Louis Estock and Vicky Estock as property owners. Marty said the department sent 13 notices to abutting property owners within a 200-foot radius and “did not receive any letters in favor or in opposition or undeliverable,” and recommended that the commission grant the CUP to allow a car wash on Lot 1.
Chair and commissioners asked no substantive follow-up questions. An unidentified commissioner moved to approve the department’s recommendation and another seconded; the chair called for all in favor and the motion carried by voice vote. The commission did not record a roll-call tally on the record.
Next steps: the conditional-use permit will be processed according to city procedures and any required site plans and permits must comply with applicable city codes and building-permit requirements before construction begins.
