Engineers report: Greenbrier preconstruction scheduled; Meierstown and Rolling Road updates

Township staff and the engineer updated commissioners on several road and infrastructure items at the October meeting.
Greenbrier Road: staff reported that all required documents were submitted, a preconstruction meeting is scheduled for Oct. 31 and the structure ordered for tentative delivery by Nov. 7; staff said construction is on track to finish before spring and that grass restoration will follow.
Meierstown Road: staff said design work has started and that supervisors chose not to proceed under the PA dirt-and-gravel road program, a decision expected to speed the project by reducing extra reviews and redesign requirements.
Rolling Road and other items: a permit application submitted two weeks prior is under review, county planning coordination continues, and one plan (JDI) is under review with an anticipated extension to Feb. 6.
Why it matters: schedule and permitting decisions determine when physical work occurs and when local disruption or road improvements will happen. Staff said weather looks favorable for the coming months and that the projects should be substantially complete before the next growing season.
