The Planning, Development & Zoning Commission unanimously approved a six-month extended-stay permit on Oct. 15 allowing an RV at 6403 Del Bello Road to be used as a dwelling through April 2025.
Planning staff said the property owner, Elizabeth Palacios, reported medical circumstances that require her son to live in an RV on-site to assist with essential household tasks. Staff cited code provisions that allow the Planning Commission to authorize extended stay permits under "extended circumstances" such as illness and recommended approval.
Staff also noted that the RV had been observed by an enforcement officer and that the six-month permit is the standard administrative time-limited allowance; commissioners said they could revisit the matter if it returned to the commission.
