Green Hill Pond: Public Works reported completion of permitting and design work and requested authorization for the town manager to accept a $250,000 grant (Restore/estuary funding) for construction; the grant requires a town match (reported in the memo as approximately $83,000 from the TMDL reserve). Council approved acceptance of the grant and authorized execution of the agreement.
Indian Run Brook / neighborhood guild: Staff presented a $66,350 SNAP (watershed restoration) grant to fund stormwater best practices and native plantings along Indian Run Brook and the neighborhood guild parking lot; the grant requires a minimum 50% match and construction documents are ready. Council accepted the grant and instructed staff to proceed.
Procurement items: Council awarded a sodium‑chloride (road salt) contract after a prior low bid proved to be a unit‑error; net price to return to the usual supplier increased roughly $0.16 per gallon. The town also approved a two‑year paint‑striping contract (approx. $29,000 annually) and a planned phased T‑Mobile tower railing/antenna update at Mortucket (construction anticipated in October, single‑tower offline schedule).
