Henderson said her family history and professional work align with the commission's mission and shared examples of community projects, including efforts to add QR codes to monuments and outreach to place local history on the National Register. Council members thanked her for leadership on the town's 300th-anniversary committee and praised her research and curation skills.
By voice vote the council approved Henderson's appointment and wished her well in the role.
