Board adopts student activities policy, approves homeschool affidavits and consent agenda items

Student activities policy and homeschool affidavits: Board member (Speaker 2) moved to adopt the student activities policy and the motion carried by voice vote. The board then moved to approve homeschool affidavits; a trustee asked whether notarization was still required and the superintendent replied that notarization is no longer required. That motion also passed by voice vote.
Why it matters: Adopting clear student activities standards and streamlining homeschool paperwork are procedural but affect parents and program administration going into the school year. Trustees and administrators said the new forms and procedures were developed with stakeholder input and will be posted on the district website for public access.
