Committee reports on policy and finance were presented to the board.
Ms. Michael summarized the policy committee’s recent work, listing several policy codes reviewed in September and October (including policy 32.20 on technology, policy 82.10 on grants and funding for special projects, and regulation 50.30 on community use of school facilities). The committee recommended forwarding most of the revised policies to the board for approval in November and sent the facilities fee schedule back to finance for a final review.
The finance committee reported it issued an RFP on Aug. 30 for banking services covering Jan. 1, 2025 through Jan. 30, 2029. After evaluating proposals from First National Bank and Home Trust, the committee recommended remaining with First National Bank; that recommendation will appear on the November consent agenda. The committee also said it will review cash-management strategies quarterly.
