She said the recommendation came from state or federal guidance and that applying the 2020 regulations to the impacted schools would simplify administration for the Title IX coordinator.
Board member Erin moved to amend the motion to "adopt the 2020 version of policy ACAC in any schools in our district impacted by this" court case; the board approved the amendment and the resulting motion by voice vote. The transcript records discussion noting that the 2020 regulations have a different timeline and that gender identity is not explicitly covered under the 2020 Title IX regulations (it remains covered under other state laws).
