The district's facilities director reported progress on multiple construction and maintenance projects across the system.
At Riverside Middle School the walk‑in freezer work and related HVAC startup are ongoing; exterior trim and roof schedule was provided with a contractor remediation visit planned for Dec. 23. Martin Middle School is advancing quickly: exterior sheathing, window frames and curtain wall work, HVAC rooftop unit delivery and electrical switchgear scheduled after the Christmas break; the director said an unforeseen soil/environmental issue earlier in the year had incurred a large estimated removal cost but subsequent redesigns reduced the related scope and cost significantly.
At Waddington the initial electrical work inside the former boiler room is underway to support phase‑2 intake work; temporary sealing of intake grates is planned until masonry infill next summer. At the high school, the exterior facade lighting driver failures remain under manufacturer warranty and are being addressed through the existing vendor relationship.
Committee members requested a written list of Riverside concerns and start/end dates for specific repair tasks; the director agreed to follow up and to circulate images and timelines by email to the committee.
