Thomas housing project on schedule, town staff says occupancy plans due this fall

Plumbing and electrical contractors have been scheduled and are expected to complete interior systems in the next 45 days; staff said final trim and painting are scheduled between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The town expects to meet the contractual completion date of Jan. 31 and said it will return to the council in November or December with a proposal detailing how occupancy will be determined, how the program will be run and how rents and management will be set.
Contractor notes: Connecticut Valley Homes is the general contractor for the structures; town staff said the contractor has improved logistics by providing an on-island foreman and using local subcontractors.
