Councilors also issued proclamations celebrating the upcoming 100th birthdays of Rita F. Hess (born Nov. 11, 1924) and Shirley M. Rudolph (born Oct. 13, 1924) and asked citizens to pay tribute on those occasions; the proclamations were entered into the town record.
Members acknowledged other longtime residents and noted local media coverage of a centenarian who now lives out of town. The council framed the recognitions as part of standard ceremonial business and consolidated the proclamations into the permanent town record.
