At its Sept. 25 meeting the Burrillville Town Council approved several procedural items and took non‑controversial votes on permits and minor appropriations before adjourning to executive session on pending litigation.
The council granted one‑day expansions of premises for alcohol service on Sept. 28 (rain date Sept. 29) to multiple businesses on Main Street, including Bravo Brewing Company, EK Carpenter Inc., Mark Murphy Inc. (Georgia’s Pizza) and Samani Enterprises LLC (Taiwok Foods). The council also approved an appropriation of $500 for the Wolf L. Snizek and Helen Case Snizek Memorial Park.
Later in the agenda the council entered executive session under Rhode Island open‑meetings law to discuss litigation (Roberta Lacey v. Town of Burrillville, case PC‑2024‑04858). After returning to open session the council voted to seal the executive‑session minutes and noted that no votes were taken in executive session. The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn.
The meeting transcript records motions and seconds for these items; where the transcript does not provide a full roll‑call, the minutes report the motions as carried.
