Belvedere committee picks Marcia and Michael Lasky as Citizens of the Year; Marsha Felton named Emeritus

The Citizen of the Year Committee presented its nominations to the council on Dec. 9, recommending Marcia and Michael Lasky as the 2024 Citizens of the Year and Marsha Felton as Citizen Emeritus. Committee chair Peyton Stein said the honorees together have contributed more than 100 years of volunteer service to Belvedere and the community.
Council members expressed unanimous support for the selections and thanked the committee for its work. A representative clarified that the awards will be presented in person at the annual meeting scheduled for Jan. 30, 2025, and all were encouraged to attend.
The council moved to approve the committee’s nominations and the motion passed.
