The contractor said they will not act as enforcers but will follow clear town instructions on which items to pick up.
Council members described a two‑sticker system: a paid, numbered green sticker that authorizes pickup of permitted items (couch, recliner, etc.) and a red contact sticker for items not authorized for standard pickup. The council discussed pricing examples and agreed that fee revenue should be placed in a restricted account to offset the town—s extra tonnage gate fees (which can run at municipal gate rates once annual municipal tonnage caps are exceeded).
Members voted to adopt the sticker system and directed staff to return with operational details such as sticker production, pricing and enforcement steps after a pilot period.
