Nashville School District approves $25,000 purchase of used 2015 Bluebird bus

The Nashville School District board voted unanimously to purchase a used 2015 Bluebird Vision school bus for $25,000, after Superintendent Graham described the bus as mechanically sound following an inspection.
Superintendent Graham said several buses were offered for sale by a neighboring rural district; he recommended buying a 2015 Bluebird Vision with roughly 86,000 miles. "My recommendation is that we buy... the 2015 Bluebird Vision for $25,000," he said. Kelsey Willard inspected the vehicle "inside and out" and recommended the purchase.
Board members asked whether the district had funds for the purchase. Superintendent Graham said the district received special transportation funding of roughly $67,607 this past year and that the $25,000 purchase could be covered from that pot. The bus is diesel and air-conditioned; speakers discussed using it primarily for in-town routes to avoid rural dust and wear.
Speaker 3 moved to approve the bus purchase for $25,000; the motion was seconded, and the vote carried 5–0.
The district noted that one additional bus from the same sale remained available should the board choose to buy another in the future.
