Council approves routine permits and appointments; police chief seeks traffic-study review for The Common

Appointments and personnel: the council appointed Betsy McCannon to represent Adamsville on the Historical Preservation Advisory Committee and reappointed Stetson Eddy to the tax-assessor board. The council accepted the resignation of Susan Kinane from the school committee, effective Nov. 27, 2024, and the board of canvassers is scheduled to meet Dec. 6, 2024, to certify the next eligible candidate. The council also appointed Sydney Wardell as town sergeant and Clay Montgomery as appraiser of damage done by dogs.
Licenses and events: the Board of Licenses requested the council advertise the transfer of a Class B-V license (recorded as involving RL Flanders Inc., under court-appointed receiver) for premises at 90 Pottersville to Stalking Horse Tavern Inc.; the council voted to advertise the transfer.
