Olivette honors Detective Sergeant Craig Schneider on 35 years of service

The Olivette City Council took a moment June 25 to recognize the retirement of Detective Sergeant Craig Schneider after 35 years of service.
Chief of Police Beth Andreski outlined Schneider’s career path — including early service as a reserve officer with the Saint Ann Police Department, his start with Olivette in March 1989, time in the detective bureau, a promotion to sergeant and lengthy work with the Major Case Squad. Chief Andreski presented a certificate of retirement and a departmental retirement badge and praised Schneider’s dedication to the community.
Fellow officers and former colleagues offered brief remarks recalling Schneider’s service and community contributions. The council and mayor thanked him and wished him well in retirement; no formal action accompanied the recognition.
