Council approves slate of boards and commission appointments

The Olivette City Council approved a slate of appointments to multiple city boards and commissions during its July 23 meeting.
Staff presented nominees for the Economic Development Commission, housing authority, Parks and Recreation, Planning/Community Design Commission (PCDC), pension board, personnel board and the zoning board of adjustment. Names read into the record included Becky Jacobs and David Moons (EDC); Stephanie Aflou and Keisha Lee (housing authority); Kate Pishon Hellman, Mike Solomonoff and Stephanie Todd (parks and recreation); Petri Powell, Daniel Rosenberg and Sam Wallach (PCDC); Josephine Enzwaiya and Ted Isaacs (pension); Jean Antoine and Richard Profi (personnel); and Rob Jurgel (zoning board of adjustment).
Councilmembers indicated their preference to approve the slate as presented; after a motion and second, the clerk called the roll and the motion passed unanimously. Several new appointees were present and were publicly welcomed by councilmembers.
Councilmembers asked staff to confirm term lengths and to correct any clerical term-year errors in the appointment documents; staff said they would make those clarifications.
The appointments fill vacancies across advisory bodies that guide planning, housing and parks decisions. The newly appointed commissioners will serve the terms listed on the appointment document, with staff to follow up to confirm exact term start and end dates.
