Acting city manager updates council on Olive Crossing leasing and upcoming community events

He reported Smoothie King has been released from its lease in Lot 3, with two letters of interest under consideration for the space; Paris Baguette remains a committed tenant and staff anticipates an opening in early 2025. Mann said hotel partner meetings and site tours are expected in September as the team continues to coordinate on the TIF-financed project.
Mann also announced near-term community events and notices: Coffee with the Mayor at 8:45 a.m. at 5 Oaks, the Great Olivette clean-up scheduled Oct. 21 at Stacy Park (4–7 p.m.), and the city’s Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. Council members briefly confirmed upcoming commission meeting dates and attendance; there was no substantive debate or public comment on the development update during the report.
