Mr. McGregor, speaking for city staff, said contractor traffic and unexpectedly poor soils damaged the legacy asphalt connection while crews worked on the Centennial Greenway alignment. Staff proposed replacing the asphalt with concrete, constructing an ADA curb ramp with truncated domes at the cul‑de‑sac, building a 6‑foot trail connection to the existing sidewalk and restoring adjacent topsoil and seed. The net change order amount presented was $17,500.
Councilmember Carl moved to authorize the city manager to sign the change order with Renieri (Rainierie) Construction not to exceed $17,500; the motion passed unanimously on a roll‑call vote.
