Olivette City reports Olive Crossing leasing updates: Brass Tap, Aldi and Great Heart Brewing

City staff updated the council on commercial activity at Olive Crossing and other local business openings.
In the city manager’s report, Miss Zachary said Brass Tap, a beer taproom, announced plans to locate in Lot 3 of Olive Crossing and is expected to secure financing in December with construction beginning in January. She added that Lot 4 (the Clover) is leasing at healthy rates despite typically slower winter activity; Aldi has installed signage and staff said the grocery chain targets an early 2025 opening, potentially in February.
Planning staff also showed interior photos of Great Heart Brewing Company and reported the business is brewing on-site while targeting an early-2025 opening. “They are brewing so that they will have product when they open again in early 2025,” planning staff said during the presentation.
Overall, staff described leasing activity as steady and said three additional retail slots remain at the Lot 3 retail building. Council members and staff noted winter slows physical moves but that tenant recruitment continues.
