Commission takes no further action on Dayton Annex restoration payment; approves travel and registration warrants

The Liberty County auditor reported a restoration invoice for the Dayton Annex originally listed at $45,076.36 from ServiceMaster TRS. Auditor staff said taxes and vendor naming (Beartown Restore Group as the parent) left a net paid amount of $41,064.92; auditors said they had already paid the vendor and were still reconciling a remaining $17,000 item in the records.
After the explanation, a motion was made and seconded to take no further action on the outstanding invoice item and the court approved that motion by voice vote.
The court also approved several warrants and travel advances: a travel advance of $1,843.16 for two tax assessor-collector staff (Heather Green and Mandy Morgan) to attend an election law seminar in Austin Aug. 11–14; a travel advance of $1,642 for Judge Hinch (Aug. 3–8); and a $360 registration payment for Joanne Leger to the Texas Court Reporter Association. The items were presented by the auditor and approved by voice vote.
The auditor said the county has received roughly $250,000 in insurance reimbursements related to the damage and that staff will continue reconciling payments and insurance proceeds.
