The following is a summary of formal motions and outcomes recorded by the Liberty County Commissioners Court on Sept. 24, 2024.
• Consent agenda: Approved (motion moved and seconded; ayes recorded).
• QYK Brands LLC presentation: Court took no action on the informational presentation (motion by Bruce, second by Greg; carried).
• TAC health and employee benefit plan renewal (2025): Approved; county will absorb the 5.5% health premium increase and accept a -1% change in dental rates (staff reported renewal and deadline).
• Adoption of elected officials' salaries for FY2025: Approved (motion carried).
• Adoption of Liberty County FY2025 budget (Oct. 1, 2024–Sept. 30, 2025): Approved (motion carried).
• Adoption of 2024 tax rate at 0.47 per $100 valuation: Approved (motion carried). The court recorded the no-new-revenue rate (0.4546) and the voter-approval rate (0.4741) during the hearing.
• Position budget and employee salaries (2025): Approved.
• Private resale bid on delinquent-tax property (Property ID 56991; bidder Jake Hernandez, $3,000): Approved.
• Ames Sanitary Sewer Improvements invoice (Schomburg & Polk Inc., $33,800; ARPA funds): Approved.
• ETM GIS and mapping services agreement for permitting software (one-time $8,500; annual $3,000–$5,000): Approved.
• Sheriff donation of a 2013 Tahoe (~280,000 miles) to Plum Grove PD: Approved.
• Reimbursement resolution and certificate of obligation authorization for new Liberty County Jail (not to exceed $175,000,000): Approved.
• Ellison Development / Gemini Subdivision items: Donation resolution tabled to reflect corrected amount; road bond letter ($904,900) approved; minor amendment to development agreement approved.

The court adjourned after thanking staff for work on the budget and other items. Items tabled will return at a future special meeting or regular agenda when staff reports are complete.
