The Liberty County Commissioners Court tabled an amended resolution and proposed donation and road‑use settlement with Natural Gas Pipeline Company Of America LLC on Nov. 12.
County attorneys explained the item covers road‑repair reimbursement and a donation to Road & Bridge Precinct 11 for work on County Road 109, and a reimbursement totaling $400,074.32 for previous repairs to White Spire Bridge. Counsel said Kinder Morgan (the pipeline’s legal team) had requested additions to the document, and county attorneys recommended tabling the item to meet with the company and return with a clean final instrument for formal acceptance.
A motion to table was made and seconded; the court voted to table the resolution and the item will return at a future court session after legal review and negotiation.
The transcript records county staff saying that, legally, the court must formally accept donations and that staff would continue negotiations with the pipeline’s counsel before bringing an acceptance vote back to the court.
