The court moved to proceed with a Chapter 381 agreement with Eagle Hospitality (Project Indigo) incorporating a revised timeline presented from city staff, with Commissioner Rios making the motion and Commissioner Reese seconding. The court took the same step for a Chapter 381 agreement with Porter Federal Credit Union (Project Tango); Commissioner Reese is recorded as the motion-maker for that item.
The court also approved renewals of interlocal agreements with the City of Eagle Pass and with the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas. Commissioners approved authorization to begin negotiations on a Fire and EMS interlocal agreement with Eagle Pass so staff can report back with budget implications.
County business included final approval and authorization for signature on a contract with Rantic Building Systems Inc. and authorization for county legal counsel to begin negotiations related to invoices from Augusta Bombardier and Associates PLLC. The court formed a three-person committee (the presiding officer, Commissioner Reese and Missus Romero) to review marketing and media publicity contracts and report at the next meeting.
