Oak Grove approves two final plats, moving Oaks of Edgewood and Rustic Heights toward completion

The Oak Grove Board of Alderwomen approved two final plats Dec. 16 that advance residential development within city limits.
Matt, a city staff member, presented the final plat for Oaks Of Edgewood Phase 15, which includes 26 single-family lots on roughly eight acres. He said the preliminary plat for phases 13 through 17 totaled 191 lots, and infrastructure for Phase 15 has been completed to city standards. Planning & Zoning recommended approval; the Board adopted Bill 24-23 and it became Ordinance No. 2,122.
The Board also reviewed Rustic Heights Phase 2, described as the second and last phase of an approved PUD. Phase 2 includes 19 lots (16 fourplex lots and three eightplex lots) and tracts B, C and D. Matt said HOA covenants and restrictions have been filed and that infrastructure meets city standards; those covenants will be recorded with the final plat. The Board adopted Bill 24-24 and it became Ordinance No. 2,123.
Board members asked clarifying questions about school-district boundaries and utility districts; staff confirmed Oaks Of Edgewood will fall in the Grain Valley School District and in Water District 17. The record shows the final plats were approved by roll-call vote.
