Van Buren County's Quorum Court voted to adopt several appropriation ordinances addressing budget corrections, reimbursements and reappropriations.

Key items approved included:

- A $1,461.07 transfer into the circuit clerk's budget to correct a miscoded bill for Superior Heating and Air (sponsor: Becky Page).

- A $1,152.32 appropriation into the district court automation fund from Arkansas State Police funds for DWI Court (split into training/education and meals/lodging line items).

- A $23.94 transfer into the collector's automation fund to reimburse postage incorrectly charged for absentee ballots.

- Recognition and appropriation of $21,514.73 received from the State Board of Election Commissioners for the 2024 primary; funds were distributed across voter registration and election commission line items including salaries, supplies and professional services.

- A $4,115.41 reappropriation into the sheriff's uniforms line after a 2023 check went uncashed; discussion noted the department has outstanding orders (including vests) and that some purchases and credits spanned ARP and other accounts. "It's not additional money being appropriated. It's already been appropriated. It's just it just never got paid out," one member said while explaining the reissuance need.

- A $13,000 appropriation to cover increased utility bills (approximately a 42% year-to-date increase) and a repaired leak at the North Annex; members requested the supporting report that breaks out North Annex costs from overall utility increases.

All measures were adopted by roll call or voice vote as noted in the court record. Several members asked for line-item reports or supporting documentation for budget planning.
