Secretary Ward of the Arkansas Department of Agriculture told the committee the State Plant Board held a public hearing on the dicamba rule and "followed the legislature's guidance on removing the, restrictive, portions of the dicamba rule," including removing GPS spray-swath reporting and online reporting requirements. Representative Jett moved that the committee approve the revised rule and recommend it go to the rules committee; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote with no opposition recorded.

Committee members did not request further amendments or additional information during the meeting, and Secretary Ward said he believed the rule was "exactly where where y'all had preferred that it be."
