ADH attorneys and staff presented two rule reviews to the committee.
An amendment to the licensed lay midwives rules implements Act 135 changes including definitions for uniformed service members, military service credit for initial licensure and continuing education adjustments for deployed practitioners; ADH said there were no public comments and the committee reviewed the rule without objection.
ADH also presented an amendment to the Retail Food Establishment Rule to implement the Food Freedom Act, add a definition, allow newly permitted establishments one year to comply with the certified food protection manager requirement and remove a six‑month confirmation requirement for ADH contact. ADH said public comments were received on sprinkler systems and that proposed solutions were discussed; the committee reviewed the rule without objection.
Both items were presented as routine regulatory updates and were advanced by the committee without objection.
