The Senate Public Health, Welfare and Labor Committee voted to pass Senate Bill 291, a cleanup measure intended to unify retroactive data related to head trauma into a single Department of Health source.
Sponsor Senator Deese told the committee the bill clarifies language and consolidates overlapping databases to improve data integrity. There was no public testimony for or against the bill. After brief member comments thanking the sponsor for working with others on clarifications, the committee approved the measure by voice vote.
The bill will proceed to the next stage of the legislative process.
