City manager updates commission on grants, infrastructure projects and ARPA workshop

Development and services: Planning Commission-approved site-plan amendments for Vocation Village (Saint Benedict Abbey) on North Second Street would create an early childhood hub offering maternal and family support and childcare services. The fire chief reported unusually high call volume in November, including many lift assists for elderly residents.
Governing comments and next steps: Commissioners thanked staff for visible progress in city projects and cleanliness, recognized long-serving employees, and noted many city staff will work during the Thanksgiving holiday. The commission adjourned to a workshop by voice vote.
