Committee recommends Euro House for beer-and-wine license; council to consider next week

Representatives for Euro House confirmed the application is for a new restaurant. Alderman Mike Racine, identified in the meeting as the alderman for District 1, told the committee the family has “been running successful businesses in the area for quite some time with no issues,” and said they would be a welcome addition to District 1. Committee members asked routine clarification questions about when beer and wine sales would begin and were told the council will consider the committee’s recommendation at its next meeting; the chair noted the council’s next meeting is Thursday, April 3, and that licenses will be available from the clerk after council approval.
The committee’s favorable recommendation means the application will appear before the full 15-member council for final approval. No objections were raised by committee members during the hearing at the March 24 meeting.
