The City Commission opened a public hearing Aug. 28 to consider an amendment to the tax-increment financing project plan for Premier Auto within the South 50 Ninth TIF District and voted to continue the hearing to the commission's Sept. 11 meeting while staff finalizes a remaining administrative item.
Tyler Ellsworth told the commission that staff recommended opening the hearing, accepting public comment, and continuing the matter because the final terms of an updated development agreement had not been fully completed at the agenda-deadline stage. "I'm happy to announce just as of this afternoon... we do have agreement on the terms of that updated development agreement," Ellsworth said, but he added an affiliate-entity issue for phase 2 IRBs remained to be wrapped up administratively.
No public speakers were recorded at this meeting on the item. The commission left the hearing open for further consideration at the Sept. 11 meeting so the ordinance, project plan and development agreement can be ready for formal consideration.
