At the Jan. 16 meeting the ACDPN approved continuing with the proposed auditor engagement and transitioning to online QuickBooks access for auditing work. Staff presented an engagement letter for the auditor (recorded in the meeting as Uhy/UHY); a motion to continue the engagement was moved, seconded and carried by roll call.
In the financial report staff said there were two invoices this month (a general-services invoice and a larger invoice from contractor RCMP). The board moved to pay the bills and approved the payments by voice/roll-call vote.
Treasurer reported a $200,000 certificate-of-deposit (CD) rollover at 3.8% and noted the CD will mature in June or July when the board will revisit disposition of funds. Staff also confirmed a check to Hudson Roots (part of an ADI grant) was delivered this week.
Separately, staff updated the board on a developer matter: a party filed a renewal rather than sign an amendment while negotiating modifications, and the agency expects to receive $200,000 from that party this year; the item is scheduled for follow-up at the February meeting.
No new budget ordinances or contract awards were finalized at the meeting; the actions recorded were authorizations to pay current invoices and to continue the auditor engagement.
