Little Falls rejects clarifier rehab bids, plans combined re-bid for 2026

On consultant Bolton & Mink’s recommendation, council voted to reject all three bids and to redesign the work to combine this clarifier with the second clarifier so the city can re-bid both projects together for a 2026 construction timeline. Councilmembers asked whether prices are likely to come down; staff said unit prices may change and the economy of scale from combining projects should reduce overall costs.
The motion to accept the consultant recommendation and reject the bids carried by voice vote; staff will return with updated design and a combined procurement plan.
