In administrative reports, staff said the council must canvass election results and set a brief special meeting for Nov. 12 at 9:30 a.m. Staff also provided an update on the holiday tree-lighting event: a new concrete slab for a Santa area, electrical work, vendor arrangements, two donated shuttle buses for overflow parking and roughly $10,000 in committed donations (not yet collected). Council discussed advertising for the event and reserved parking.
