Council authorizes $4.74 million construction contract phase for utilities maintenance building

Mr. Meyer said staff revised the project following council input to increase garage bay length by 20 feet to accommodate potential future larger trucks and restore a concrete loft area for electrical storage. He said the project had cleared Federal Aviation Administration permitting and that building permit applications were submitted.
Council moved and approved the authorization for the city administrator to execute the contract not to exceed the stated amount. Staff will proceed with final interior design and scheduling of construction activities under the contract terms.
