The City of Gardner Planning Commission on Sept. 23 approved the final plat for Lone Star Prairie First Plat, a roughly 48-acre subdivision phase that staff said includes about 17 acres of buildable lots. The commission’s approval, made by Commissioner Mader and seconded by Commissioner Sosa, was unanimous (6-0) and is recommended to the governing body subject to meeting items 1–3 in the staff report dated Sept. 18, 2024.
The plat had been rezoned and approved at the preliminary stage on Dec. 19, 2023, and the governing body approved the rezoning ordinance on Jan. 16, 2024, staff said.
