The Gardner City Council voted to adopt Resolution 02/1953 approving a developer contribution agreement in connection with a proposed Flint Trails rental townhome project.
Staff member Matt told the council the developer "has agreed to contribute to the cost of improving 160 Seventh Street adjacent to the proposed rental townhome development" and that a second payment of "approximately $931,000 is to be paid within 30 days" after the city notifies the developer the internal infrastructure improvements are complete. Matt also said the developer's first payment will be credited against the excise tax calculated for the development.
A motion to adopt the resolution was moved and seconded (motion by Deaton, second by Baldwin), the clerk called for the votes by name, and the resolution passed.
The resolution authorizes execution and delivery of the contribution agreement and directs city staff to complete the contracting steps described in the presentation. No public comment was recorded on the item during the meeting.
