He reported initial vendor estimates for software and reporting upgrades ranging up to $45,000. The court discussed cathodic protection, replacing failing equipment and the need to bring reporting into TCEQ compliance to avoid fines.
On a motion, commissioners authorized staff to solicit bids for the required station repairs and related upgrades and asked for bid results to be returned at the August meeting. Separately, the court discussed weigh‑station improvements after a site visit and asked staff to research engineering requirements before pursuing construction bids; those answers were requested for the July 16 meeting.
