Topper said the graphics and poster boards will be posted on the project website (mass.gov/capebridges) when available and described the event as well attended.
A member of the public, John York, said he had not attended but reviewed photos and urged organizers to post the poster materials promptly after public events. York said that in a prior presentation to a public body a digital copy was not left with that body promptly and characterized that as a possible violation of the state open meeting law; he asked that MassDOT hold a new EIS scoping meeting if notice was inadequate. Topper said he would record York's comments and follow up on specifics.
Topper emphasized the increased level of detail now available to the public, including poster boards that show potential traffic signal and roundabout locations and 3D visualizations of proposed bridge concepts. He said the materials also included construction staging views to help communities understand crane locations and where construction activity would be sited.
