Commissioner Bertram moved to accept the grants and authorize the county judge to sign the sheriff’s agreement; Commissioner Williams seconded. The court approved the motion 5‑0.
County staff said some grant funds for similar programs in other counties have come with specific allowable uses and that local offices must meet those requirements to receive the awards. No public comment was offered during the vote.
