Scurry County proclaims October 2024 as National 4‑H Week; local 4‑H officers present accomplishments

County staff read the proclamation in full and introduced local 4‑H officers. The youth officers — including Carson Graff and teammates — thanked the court and described club activity in the previous year: the club reported roughly 135 members, volunteer support from about 19 parents and numerous project areas including food and nutrition, STEM and livestock events. Staff highlighted scholarship awards through the Texas 4‑H Foundation totaling $60,000 to three members and recent contest placements at the San Angelo livestock exposition.
The court moved, seconded and approved the proclamation by voice vote. Court members and attendees briefly discussed the club’s community service projects and presentations concluded with the court’s formal designation.
