Scurry County outlines EMS compliance overhaul, plans audits and hotline for 2025

"Basically, we're going to go off of the 7 fundamental elements, develop a compliance policy and procedures ... develop a compliance hotline for anybody who wants to complain or have any issues with EMS compliance," Speaker 7 said.
Commissioners asked whether a formal vote was needed; Speaker 7 said the presentation was informational and that quarterly updates would come to the governing board. The presenter said the goal is to put compliance measures on paper, enforce standards, and create consequences and incentives tied to compliance performance.
What happens next: Speaker 7 said staff will provide a deeper presentation in the first quarter of 2025 and supply documentation of the policies and auditing plan.
