The police chief and staff reported successful post‑board compliance and participation in state enforcement initiatives: staff said Minnesota agencies wrote 68,723 speeding citations during a statewide enforcement period, and the New Prague Police contributed significant hours to that enforcement effort. The fire chief and staff reported air packs placed in service and that the city secured a radio grant — staff described it as roughly a $4,000,000 award from a larger pool of requests.
Appeals and upcoming meetings: The council was told a previously cited business at 1319 requested an appeal of a THC violation; the appeal hearing is scheduled for Nov. 4. The council adjourned and noted a subsequent budget meeting.
