City staff on July 16 briefed the council on radiochemical monitoring results for radium in Well 3 (Wyoming, Chisago County PWSID 113018). Mr. Linwood reported that the Minnesota Department of Health provided sampling dates, test results and annual averages; he said the city's current operational pumping volumes for Well 3 are in a more compliant status and that the results were shared with WSB’s water experts for continued review.
Mr. Erickson added that the city houses the monitoring data, reports occasionally as required, and intends to continue sampling as needed. No council questions required immediate action. Staff indicated they will continue to monitor the well and report back as necessary.
