Staff said the Indigo proposal includes Venus Suite cloud-based software with no separate annual subscription, a five-year warranty on the display and an included 5G Verizon connection; staff characterized the Indico/Indigo product as comparable in function to other bids.
The council discussed design consistency with park elements (bench seating/blocking vs. brick) and whether cosmetic changes would increase cost. Staff suggested design specifics could be refined later so long as changes do not materially increase price. The recommended motion approved Indigo signs for $49,942.77 with an additional allotment of $2,500 for electrical work; council members said no additional city funds were required beyond the ARPA balance and the EDA contribution.
Council approved the purchase on a voice vote after a motion and second.
