The Rowlett Planning and Zoning Commission approved the final plat for the Cornerstone Church Addition on Aug. 27, with a condition that a clerical correction be made to the signature block before the plat is recorded.
Staff presented the final plat for the approximately 12.248‑acre site at 4000 Dalrock Road, described in staff materials as zoned SF‑10 / limited office and intended for a new church building of roughly 13,000 square feet. Staff recommended approval of the final plat provided a staff signature block shown on the document is corrected prior to recording. "Approval for the final plat with the stipulation of the signature block for Director [of Community Development] to be corrected prior to recording the plat," staff said during the presentation.
A commissioner moved to approve the final plat with that stipulation; the motion was seconded and passed by unanimous raised hands. Commissioners also asked staff to ensure the document presented for signatures is the corrected recording document before submittal to Dallas County for recordation.
The approval allows the church infrastructure and lot configuration to move to recordation once the required ministerial correction to the signature block is made.
